FEDERAL politicians have declined to endorse a Liberal senator’s call for random drug testing for MPs. New South Wales Liberal Bill Heffernan, a confidant of Prime Minister John Howard, made the call after meeting former junior rugby star and drug addict Darren Marton last week. Senator Heffernan said that testing politicians would send a strong message to the community about drug use.
